We are committed to making this public environmental-information service usable by as many people as possible, including people with disabilities and those using assistive technologies.
Target standard
This site works toward conformance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
Known limitations
The interactive map is a visual component and is not fully usable with a screen reader or by keyboard alone. For this reason, ALL location information is also available as text — every location the map shows also appears in the locations list, with its name, municipality, severity (in text) and a link to its detail page.
What we have built in
The site currently includes:
- A "Skip to main content" link and clear keyboard focus indicators.
- A text alternative to the map through the full locations list.
- Severity shown by text and shape, not colour alone.
- A text-size control and support for browser zoom up to 200%.
